Journey to "one"

Planning a wedding in the Pandemic has been quite the challenge. So much uncertainty and so many changes since the Proposal on Aug 1st. We thought that October 2021 would look a bit different but Covid has proved us wrong.

Special Thanks to all those that reached out to check on us over the past year!!

After many changes, we have decided to wed on the beautiful grounds of Rip Van Wrinkle in a private, intimate ceremony with immediate family and a few friends.

To have such a huge support system of family and friends is a blessing. We would love that same support as we begin this next journey. We have decided the safest way to have our “Village” witness our union is to offer a Virtual Option.

The ceremony will take place live via this site (time to be released closer to date of wedding). Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we prepare for our upcoming nuptials.

We do not have registry because we are beyond blessed. However, if you still feel inclined to support us, Feel free to send a gift of your liking or a monetary donation towards our Honeymoon Fund.

The Proposal

Brennan, is not the planner type. He is spontaneous, calculated, and thoughtful. He had the ring for months but decided a week before that he was ready to propose after I became suspicious. He set up a photographer and sent me out Saturday morning to nail salon as well as a shopping spree (Failed clue #1). I even had my soon to be last name on the card (Failed clue #2). I also bought everything but the one thing he thought I would buy “A dress.” He proposed at sunset, under a gazebo, with Mason at his side. It was so perfect bc I always thought he could never surprise me. I was caught off guard and definitely not expecting a proposal.

How did we meet?

We met at the State Fair sometime in 2006. I believe it during Mardi Gras, but you would have to ask her for better details. My friend and her cousin were really good friends and they were trying to set us up on a blind date, which it was. On the way to the fair I jumped a fence with my friends, not sure why, but I tore my shirt and had to borrow my friend’s sweater vest. Yup, a sweater vest. When I got there we were introduced and she had on a bright pink fur jacket, I think lol. We played a few games at the fair, of course I tried to win her a stuffed animal. I don’t remember if I was successful or not, but we exchanged numbers and now here we are years later jumping the broom.
